Our Guest, Brough Perkins
Seven years ago, at the age of fifteen, Brough's parents opened their door to invite strangers from around the town to come and sit with their teenage son. Since then, over two thousand people from around the country have had the chance to experience Brough's psychic gift first hand.
Although he has always been mild mannered and shy, he loves the camera. In 2003 Much Music featured his amazing talent as a young Psychic Medium in a one hour Halloween special, which would become one of the year's top rated shows, called Much About Ghosts.
Brough was able to wow skeptical producers and audience when he came out with the actual first and last name and date of death of a four year old girl who died on that property. The producer traced a death certificate in the town records confirming this ghostly contact. Since then Much Music has been happy to invite Brough back to do readings on bands such as Alexis on Fire, audience members and, whenever a celebrity like Hillary Duff drops by, to the popular call in show Much on Demand.
Brough definitely has an on air presence and can make accurate predictions on live television, such as when he took live studio calls from across the country this past summer (August 10th 2007). Brough was able to tell people of their birth dates, divorces in their family and career paths that they've already thought about taking with alarming accuracy.
His young innocence adds to the validity of his genuine gifts and people want to seek this young man's counsel.
When this 23 year old isn't counseling people twice his age he likes to paint, write and spend as much time with his friends as possible just like any other young person. It's been a challenge to relate to most people in his age group as he has to balance having sagely wisdom with still being wet behind the ears in many ways, so to speak. But his gentle personality and warm acceptance of everyone has brought him friends of all ages and from all walks of life.
Right now Brough wants people to know:
Being subjected to so many life stories from such a young age, Brough has a deep concern for the lost, lonely and spiritually suffering in the world. He works to help homeless and volunteers for the hospice. He would eventually like to finish his book for teens which uses his personal story to help teens avoid suicide through discovering their unique gift and understanding their part in the puzzle of life.
He believes that everyone is a star in the making and that we can't afford to lose a single person in life. No one should fall through the cracks.
