Our Guest, Dan Gordon

Dan Gordon is co-author of the supernatural bestseller Haunted Baseball: Ghosts, Curses, Legends & Eerie Events, a collection of bizarre tales gathered from interviews with over 800 current and former league players and coaches and a few hundred more stadium workers. The book is in its fourth print run since its release this past September. Gordon first experienced the magic of Fenway Park in the summer of 1975 when his father took him to his first game. With a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, he studied global baseball culture in Japan, the Domincan Republic, Cuba and Nicaragua. His writings on baseball have appeared in the Providence Journal, Fort Worth Star, San Juan Star, NINE, Elysian Fields Quarterly and Scribners Encyclopedia of American Lives. He contributed two chapters to an edited book on global baseball, Baseball without Borders: The International Pastime (University of Nebraska Press, November 2006). Prior to Haunted Baseball, Gordon co-authored the book Cape Encounters: Contemporary Cape Cod Ghost Stories, which sold more than 10,000 copies in its first year in print. Gordon lives and dies with the Red Sox.
